Arrest made in connection to homicide

The Owen Sound Police Service and the Grey-Bruce OPP have made an arrest in connection to a recent homicide.

On July 11 just after 1 a.m., officers responded to a report of gunshots at an apartment complex on 6th Avenue West. Upon arrival officers located a deceased individual.

Following an investigation, members of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit arrested an Owen Sound native on July 12.

A 34-year-old male is now charged with first degree murder.

The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound. The investigation is ongoing.
