High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A 46-year-old driver is facing charges after a road rage incident in South Bruce Peninsula.Grey Bruce OPP responded to a report of an assault on Berford Street around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.Police say once they arrived on scene, they determined that a road rage incident resulted in one of the involved drivers assaulting the other.As a result, a 46-year-old from South Bruce Peninsula faces charges of assault, assault with a weapon, dangerous operation and failure to stop after accident.The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court next month.
