Police urging road safety following charges in two separate collisions

Perth County OPP are asking motorists to be more cautious following two recent collisions.

On August 19 at just after 9 a.m., emergency crews responded to a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle on Perth Line 26 and Highway 7-19 in the Township of Perth East. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 73-year-old from Kitchener has been charged with fail to yield at yield sign.

Later that same day just before 1:30 p.m., emergency responders responded to a three-vehicle collision on Highway 7-19 in the Township of Perth South.

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that a vehicle collided with another vehicle that resulted in a third vehicle being struck with debris. Three people were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

A 47-year-old from London has been charged with careless driving.
