Chesley emergency department temporarily closed

The Chesley emergency department is temporarily closed as of Wednesday, September 6 at 7 a.m. due to staffing issues. It is set to re-open on Thursday, September 7 at 7 a.m.

Ambulances will by-pass Chesley and take patients to the nearest open emergency department. That includes Hanover, Walkerton, Southampton, Markdale, Owen Sound, Kincardine, and Mount Forest.

Anyone needing immediate medical attention is advised to call 911. For non-emergency healthcare needs, Health Connect Ontario can be contacted via phone at 811, open 24/7.
