County launches new map featuring landmarks

Perth County has launched a new county road map.

The county's Geographic Information Systems Team has unveiled the new Perth County Road Map, which includes county, local municipal and provincial road networks, along with locations of important community infrastructure such as hospitals, municipal offices, libraries and more.

County council made a decision this summer to amend their Fees and Charges By-law to remove the $5 fee that used to be charged for similar maps in the past.

The new map is an accurate representation of local road networks in Perth County and important geographic features.

“These maps are a great tool for the public and for staff at each municipality across the County,” said Warden Rhonda Ehgoetz. “County Council is pleased that these new maps will now be able to be handed out free of charge. They will be an excellent resource for the community.”

“The GIS Team is proud to launch an updated version of this popular map,” added Gary White, GIS Coordinator. “Maps are an important tool for understanding the geography of the region and our department regularly receives lots of requests for maps like this.”

Copies of the new Perth County Road Map are available to pick up free of charge at local municipal and other locations across the county:

  • Perth County Courthouse: 1 Huron Street, Stratford

  • Municipality of North Perth: 330 Wallace Avenue North, Listowel

  • Township of Perth South: 3191 Road 122, St. Pauls

  • Township of Perth East: 25 Mill Street East, Milverton
