UPDATE: Federal offender located

The OPP has located a wanted federal offender that was thought to be in the area.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad issued an alert last week looking for 34-year-old Aaron Marshall, a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant as a result of his breach of statutory release, who went unlawfully at large.

He is currently serving a five year sentence for weapons and drug possession.

Police said Marshall is frequent Hanover, Kincardine, Owen Sound, Walkerton and Hamilton.

On Wednesday evening, police said Marshall was located in Walkerton and arrested by Peel Regional police, with assistance of the South Bruce OPP Emergency Response team.

The Provincial R.O.P.E. Squad is thanking the public and the media for their assistance in this investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
