Louise Marshall Hospital closing ER overnight Saturday

The emergency room in Mount Forest is the latest to announce a temporary closure, shutting overnight on Saturday.

The Louise Marshall Hospital Emergency Department will close at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 30 due to staffing shortages.

It will reopen the following morning at 7 a.m.

Residents are still asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency.

Non-urgent patients are asked to travel to nearby hospitals in Palmerston, Listowel, Hanover or Walkerton, and they're encouraged to call ahead to confirm the ER is open.
