Two charged after drug seizure in Listowel

Perth County OPP say two North Perth residents are charged with drug trafficking as a result of an investigation that began this summer.

Last week, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Krotz Street in Listowel. Officers say during the search, they seized quantities of suspected methamphetamine and a suspected stolen Can-Am utility vehicle.

As a result, a 40-year-old North Perth man has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, altering a VIN number, and breaching a conditional sentence. The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 34-year-old North Perth woman is also facing charges for possession for the purpose of trafficking. They were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court next month.

Anyone with information regarding this or any incident is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
