Wellington County OPP investigate trailer theft

Officers with Wellington County OPP are investigating the theft of trailer worth $14,500.

OPP reported an unknown suspect driving a white pickup truck arrived at a business on Highway 6 in Arthur at about 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, and took a Freedom 822 enclosed black trailer.

Police are looking for a white Chevrolet pickup truck with no front or rear license plates attached, dark tinted windows, extended side mirrors, lifted suspension and oversized tires.

The driver was a man with a slim build, approximately 5' 10" tall wearing dark coloured pants and a light coloured hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information that might assist the investigation can call Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Those who wish to remain anonymous, should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip on-line at www.csgw.tips. Tips may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
