An officer with the Grey Bruce OPP detachment recently participated in the National Peace Officers Memorial Run.
The run, held September 21-24, featured Provincial Constable Maude Amyot, who participated in the run with other members of the policing community across the country. Amyot ran 63 kilometers over the three days, raising money for fallen peace officers.
The National Peace Officers' Memorial Run was established in 2005 by the Peel Regional Police running team. The three-day run begins at the Ontario Police Memorial in Toronto and concludes at the National Memorial in Ottawa.
"PC Amyot demonstrated her dedication to duty by representing the Grey Bruce Detachment with pride and professionalism at the National Peace Officers Memorial Run, paying homage to those officers who made the ultimate sacrifice," shared Inspector Paul Richardson, Grey Bruce OPP Detachment Commander.
