Bruce County administration buildings closed over long weekend

Several Bruce County administration buildings will be closed for the Thanksgiving long weekend.

The Bruce County Administration Centre in Walkerton, the Lakeshore Hub in Port Elgin, the Peninsula Hub in Wiarton, and the Penetangore Hub in Kincardine will all be closed Saturday, October 7 until Monday, October 9.

Virtual and in-person customer service will resume on Tuesday, October 10 at 8:30 a.m.

Bruce County Public Library branches will also be closed on Monday, October 9. They will be open for regular hours on Saturday and Sunday, October 7 and 8. Online resources can be accessed here.

EarlyON Child and Family programming will be closed Saturday, October 8 to Monday, October 9. All schedules are available online.

Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre will be closed on Monday, October 9. It will be open on Saturday and Sunday as follows:

Saturday, October 7: Open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday, October 8: Open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The county says to contact 211 for help with accessing community services and support. For all emergencies, call 911.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
