Kincardine resident faces charges after Saturday downtown disturbance

A 33-year-old from Kincardine faces several charges, including assault with a weapon, after an incident that closed a downtown street on October 7.

South Bruce OPP received a report of a disturbance at a business along Queen Street around 5 p.m.

Police closed off a section of Lambton Street while they responded.

OPP say the accused was taken into custody without incident.

The accused also faces charges for uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Walkerton court next month.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
