Municipalities receive OLG payments

Two local municipalities have received their annual OLG payments.

OLG made a second quarter payment totalling $182,176 to the Municipality of Central Huron for hosting Gateway Casinos Clinton.

So far, during OLG’s fiscal year, Central Huron has received $328,205. Since the gaming site opened in August 2000, Central Huron has received $13,342,431.

Additionally, Hanover received a second quarter payment totalling $372,060 for hosting Playtime Casino Hanover.

This fiscal year, Hanover has received $638,148. Since the gaming site opened in February 2001, Hanover has received $22,106,227.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
