Canadian Blood Services announces more upcoming local donation clinics

Canadian Blood Services has announced more blood donation clinics in Midwestern Ontario.

Owen Sound will host two clinics, on November 1 and November 29, at the Owen Sound Legion from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Dundalk will host a clinic on November 4 at the Highpoint Community School from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Finally, the Mount Forest Recreation Complex will host a clinic November 28 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Canadian Blood Services notes that more than 4,000 new blood donors are needed every month in Ontario. More than 48,000 new blood donors are needed this year in Ontario. Nearly 10 million people in Ontario can donate, but only about 1.5 percent of the population does.
