Police still searching for owners of small memorial

Perth County OPP are still hoping to find the owners of some items found at a small memorial site.

On August 24 around 4 p.m., police were contacted after a property owner reported finding a small memorial site in their field. The memorial was found in the area of Perth Line 43 and Road 106 in the Township of Perth East.

A wooden cross with several small children's items were recovered and are still in the possession of police. Perth County OPP are seeking to return these items and are requesting the owner, or anyone with information regarding the possible owners, to reach out to police.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
