Three charged in firearm incident

Three men have been charged in connection to a firearms incident in Owen Sound.

An officer followed a suspicious vehicle to an area of the city where an abandoned building once sat.

During the investigation, police said there were several loud bangs. It was determined they came from a shotgun being fired.

Three men were taken into custody. The shotgun and a box of ammunition was seized. The gun was seized as evidence.

All three of the accused, from Grey Bruce, are charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, careless use of a firearm, and careless storage. One man was also charged with failing to comply with a weapons prohibition order.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
