Robbery charges laid following disturbance

Grey Bruce OPP have arrested and charged one person following a recent robbery.

On October 31 around 4 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance on Saugeen First Nation. Investigators determined that the suspect had lured the victim off to a secluded area, at which point a physical confrontation allegedly ensued and the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Property from the victim was allegedly then taken following the altercation by the suspect. As a result, a 30-year-old resident from Saugeen First Nation has been arrested and charged with robbery with violence and uttering threats, causing bodily harm.

The accused is held in custody pending a bail hearing. Police believe this was a targeted incident and it remains under investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
