More local ED closures announced by SBGHC

The South Bruce Grey Health Centre has announced more local emergency department closures.

The Durham Emergency Department will close Thursday, November 2 at 5 p.m. and will reopen Friday, November 3 at 7 a.m.

Additionally, the Chesley Emergency Department will close all day on Friday, November 3 and Monday, November 6, reopening on Tuesday, November 7 at 7 a.m.

Ambulance by-pass has been undertaken to divert patients to the nearest open ED.

Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 911 to be taken to the nearest Emergency Department. For non-urgent health care needs, Health Connect Ontario is available 24/7 for non-emergency health-related questions by calling 811.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
