Charges laid in 'serious assault'

Huron County OPP have charged three people after an assault in Goderich.

On October 17 around 8:25 p.m., police responded to a report of a "serious assault" that had taken place at a business on Huron Road in the Town of Goderich.

When officers and local paramedics arrived, they found a victim who had sustained serious injuries. A trio of suspects were later found and arrested.

As a result of the investigation, police have charged a 35-year-old, 28-year-old, and a 15-year-old, all from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, with multiple offences including Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Criminal Harassment, and Break and Enter.

The two adult suspects have dates scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich, while the youth will appear in the youth court to answer to their charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
