Two charged in Jason Brown homicide

OPP have charged two men with the killing of Jason Brown, over three and a half years after he was kidnapped from Harriston.

Police say on Wednesday, with the assistance of the Edmonton Police Service, they arrested 32-year-old Joshua Alexander Drumond on a Canada-wide warrant.

Drumond is facing charges of first degree murder and kidnapping.

Police also charged 33-year-old Steven Jon Walsom-Gerigs of Brantford with first degree murder and kidnapping.

Both individuals are currently in custody and were to appear in Guelph court Friday.

On March 13, 2019, the body of Brown, a 43-year-old of Kitchener, was found in the Oshawa area. He was last seen the evening before on Jessie Street in Harriston.

Earlier this summer, police identified several vehicles of interest in the case, and offered a $50,000 reward for any info that led to a conviction. Two of the vehicles were recovered in Setpember.

If you have any information, contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
