School board asks for student and parent participation in survey

Upper Grand District School Board is asking for participation from students and parents in a voluntary survey.

The purpose of the Well-being Health and Youth, or WHY Surveys, is to collect information regarding student health and well-being.

The survey will "identify issues that could be addressed by schools, school boards, and local service providers. The information will be used to inform planning decisions, including Board Improvement Plans," according to a UGDSB release.

Students, parents and UGDSB staff can take the survey, which has a questionnaire for students from grades 4-12. All the surveys are confidential and will not collect any identifying information on students or families.

The surveys will run from November 13 to November 24, 2023. Parents/guardians can complete the parent/guardians survey at https://is.gd/2024parentwhy.
