OPP lay charges in human trafficking investigation

Wellington County OPP have laid a lengthy list of charges against a Scarborough native following a human trafficking investigation.

On July 10, 2023, police were called regarding a disturbance at a residence in Palmerston. Police then began an intimate partner violence investigation and a human trafficking investigation at the same time.

Following the investigation, on November 2, a 52-year-old Scarborough man was arrested and charged with 11 offences, including Trafficking in Person(s), assault, sexual assault and more.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
