Saugeen Shores launches study to redefine urban beachfront roads

The Town of Saugeen Shores has initiated a study to consider designating certain roads as "Cottage Streets" within its urban beachfront areas.

These streets deviate from typical engineering standards and generally feature narrower rights-of-way.

The study aims to establish design standards and create a map outlining these designated areas. Residents are encouraged to participate and provide feedback at upcoming Public Information Centres in Southampton and Port Elgin.

For those unable to attend in person, an online Public Information Centre will take place on December 6, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.. The video link will be available after the in-person Public Information Centres in November.
