Man charged after stolen truck recovered in Seaforth

A Central Huron man is facing numerous charges after police allegedly found him operating a stolen vehicle.

Huron County OPP say they were on patrol in Seaforth just before noon on Tuesday when they observed a driver who was prohibited from doing so.

When they ran the vehicle's information, police say it had been reported stolen.

Officers blocked in the vehicle and claim the suspect attempted to scale a fence to avoid capture.

The 22-year-old is now facing charges including possession of property obtained by crime, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of methamphetamine, and four counts of driving while prohibited.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and later remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled in Goderich.
