Search warrant results in recovery of thousands of dollars in stolen property

The Grey Bruce OPP have recovered stolen property that is worth thousands of dollars following the execution of a search warrant in Chatsworth.

On November 22, the Grey Bruce Community Street Crime Unit, West Region Regional Support Team and General Law Enforcement officers went to a property on Highway 6 in the Township of Chatsworth and executed a search warrant.

Officers seized stolen property which included an Acura TLX, a Can Am 100R side by side, a Can Am Renegade ATV, a Honda ATV, and an ATV trailer. The total value of recovered stolen property is $80,000.

As a result, a 47-year-old from Chatsworth and 24-year-old from West Perth both face numerous charges including two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.

Both accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on December 21.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
