UPDATE: Bus company quiet about morning crash that injured three students

One student was air-lifted to a hospital in London after a crash involving a school bus on Tuesday morning.

The Avon Maitland District School Board confirms that seven children were on a bus involved in an incident south of the Village of Bluevale. Two of those students were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, while the driver of the bus was also taken to hospital with what Ontario Provincial Police say is a pre-existing condition.

A portion of Clyde Line was closed as an investigation was conducted, but has since reopened.

OPP Provincial Constable Craig Soldan says the bus left the road "due to poor weather" and entered a ditch, colliding with a private driveway.

Communications Manager Chera Longston with the Avon Maitland District School Board says that the decision on bus cancellations lies with the bus company.

A statement has been requested from Montgomery Bus Lines. Although the company said a statement was forthcoming, so far, one has not been provided.
