Due to insufficient staffing, the South Bruce Grey Health Centre says the Durham Hospital Emergency Department will close on December 4 at 5 p.m. and will reopen on December 5 at 7 a.m.
Another closure will take effect on the evening of December 5 at 5 p.m. again, with the ED reopening at 7 a.m. on December 6.
Ambulance by-pass has been undertaken to divert patients to the nearest open ED.
