Public assistance requested in dog bite incident

Grey Bruce Public Health is asking for the public's help regarding a recent dog bite incident.

On Sunday, December 3 in the town of Priceville around 6 p.m., a man, who was working on his car on Artemesia Street, was bitten by a medium-sized, long-haired black dog. The dog was running at-large at the time of the incident.

Staff at Grey Bruce Public Health need to confirm the dog is not infectious with the rabies virus. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Grey Bruce Public Health at 519-376-9420 ext. 1307.
