Wingham Legion's Poppy Campaign raises $5,728 to support local veterans

The Wingham Legion has announced that it has raised $5,728.95 in its most recent poppy campaign.

Branch 180 Poppy Chair Tim Poole says that he thanks the communities of Wingham and Teeswater for their generous donations.

Poole says the funds will go towards supporting veterans with donations to the Parkwood Institute at St. Joseph's Health Care in London for a Homeless Veterans Fund that works locally to improve the lives of veterans.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
