Another tool theft in the region

Perth County OPP are reminding you to keep your vehicles locked as they investigate yet another tool theft in the region.

On December 7 just before 8 a.m., police received a report of a theft from a vehicle at a home on Wellington Avenue South in North Perth.

Officers say an unknown amount of suspects were able to get into a vehicle and took multiple DeWalt tools, worth over $2,000.

To prevent suspicious activity, OPP are recommending to keep all buildings and vehicles locked and report anything that seems out of sorts. It's also suggested to consider installing security cameras, alarms, or more lighting.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
