UPDATE: One dead after serious collision in North Huron

Huron County OPP are still investigating a serious collision along Donnybrook Line that resulted in one fatality.

According to police, the two-vehicle collision occurred between Belfast Road and Glenn's Hill Road around noon on December 12.

The road is now reopened.

Police say the crash was between a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle. When emergency crews arrived on-scene, they found both vehicles heavily damaged. The driver of the passenger vehicle sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The deceased is a 20-year-old resident of Perth East.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call Huron County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
