Workplace assault results in charges

Huron County OPP have charged one person after an assault at a local business.

On November 28 just after 8 a.m., officers responded to a report of an assault that had taken place at a business somewhere in South Huron at 6:30 a.m. earlier that morning.

A victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident. A suspect was later located, arrested, and charged the same day.

Police charged a 34-year-old resident of South Huron with Assault Causing Bodily Harm - Choking.

The accused was later released from custody with a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on January 8, 2024.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
