MPP announces local infrastructure funding

Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae has announced infrastructure funding for his riding.

A total of $14,468,702 will be split between areas in Wellington and Perth in 2024, to aid with local infrastructure projects. This funding is part of the province’s overall $400 million investment through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.

The City of Stratford is getting the biggest piece of the funding, with over $3.1 million earmarked for projects there. Wellington County is receiving just over $2.7 million to help maintain county roads.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
