Weapons charges laid following traffic stop

Huron County OPP laid numerous weapons charges following a traffic stop.

On December 21, patrolling officers in Clinton spotted a driver committing a traffic violation. Officers pulled the driver over, and during a conversation with the male driver, police say they found the man to be in possession of illegal weapons.

The 40-year-old driver from Central Huron was arrested and charged with possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose, possession of prohibited device or ammunition, two counts of unauthorized possession of weapon and four counts of fail to comply with probation order.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
