Temporary shutdown of Mount Forest Emergency Department

The Louise Marshall Hospital Emergency Department (ED) is facing another temporary closure. A staffing shortage means the department will close on Saturday, December 30th at 5:00 pm and will reopen on Sunday, December 31st at 7:00 am.

Patients should call 911 if they have a medical emergency. Emergency Medical Services will bring patients to surrounding hospitals for care. For non-urgent health care call Health Connect Ontario at 811, which is available 24/7 for non-emergency health-related questions.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
