Two suspects charged after police recover stolen property

Perth County OPP have charged two North Perth residents after finding them allegedly in possession of stolen property.

On December 26 just after 2 a.m., officers were conducting a separate investigation, when they noticed two individuals in possession of a road sign.

Police stopped the two suspects and placed them under arrest. A 21-year-old and a 20-year-old, both from North Perth, now each face a charge of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The accused were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on January 22, to answer to the charges.

Police are reminding the public that removal of roadway, directional, or any other driving-related signage leads to dangerous conditions for all roadway users.
