OPP lay charges following recent trespassing and theft incidents

Huron County OPP have arrested and charged one person following a pair of recent trespassing and theft incidents.

In the early hours of December 8, 2023, a parcel was reported stolen from a residence on Cambria Road in Goderich.

On January 5, 2024, also in the early morning hours, a second incident took place at the same address where an individual allegedly searched the same victim's mailbox for valuables.

Police were able to identify the suspect, and located them on January 5 in Goderich. A 37-year-old of no fixed address was arrested and charged with Theft Under $5,000 and two counts of Trespassing at Night.

The accused was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on February 26, 2024.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
