Trio sought for attempted theft of Meaford snow blowers

Grey Bruce OPP are searching for three people who allegedly attempted to steal snow blowers from a Meaford business on the morning of January 10.

According to police, around 6:15 a.m., they received a call from a witness who reported observing three individuals attempting to steal snow blowers from a business on Highway 26 between Ridge Road and the 7th Line.

Allegedly, a white full-size van picked up the suspects and fled east on Highway 26.

The suspects did not obtain any merchandise. Police said they are described as men with dark skin wearing dark winter clothing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
