OPP recover stolen tractor in Grey Highlands

A stolen tractor has been recovered by Grey Bruce OPP in Grey Highlands.

The theft was originally reported on January 15 in the early morning in Meaford. Police said a John Deere tractor, which was used for snow removal, was stolen from a parking lot some time between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. A citizen reported a sighting of the vehicle in Grey Highlands.

Two people, a 29-year-old and a 39-year-old, both from Meaford, are facing multiple charges including theft over $5,000 and posession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Police are reminding the public to not follow a stolen vehicle to ensure your safety. Call the OPP immediately and note the location and direction of travel.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
