Police lay charges following crash involving school bus

Wellington County OPP have laid charges after an investigation into a recent crash that involved a school bus.

On January 11 around 8:15 a.m., police responded to a collision on Wellington Road 16 at Line 10, West Luther. Wellington North Fire Service and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service also responded.

A white SUV, a black coupe and school bus with students onboard were involved. The driver of the black coupe was taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries. The SUV driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Neither the school bus driver or any of the 12 students on board were hurt.

Following an investigation, a 65-year-old driver from Wellington North has been charged with Careless Driving Causing Bodily Harm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
