COVID-19/Influenza outbreak declared over

A recent COVID-19 and influenza outbreak has been declared over at Stratford General Hospital.

The outbreak was declared on the Medicine Unit on January 15. The Medicine Unit has been reopened to admissions and transfers. Family and caregiver presence on the unit has also been restored. Full guidelines can be found at www.hpha.ca.

Masks are still required to be worn in all clinical areas of HPHA hospital sites. This includes inpatient units, emergency departments, outpatient clinics, imaging, labs and waiting rooms. Medical grade masks are provided at the entrances and at masking stations throughout hospital sites.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
