Fingerprint recovered at crime scene results in charges

Grey Bruce OPP have laid charges following a break-and-enter theft investigation.

On October 13, 2023, police responded to a break-and-enter theft at a storage shed at a seasonal property on Grey Road 12 in Grey Highlands.

The list of stolen items included a Yamaha Grizzly ATV which has been recovered. Items that are still missing include a toolbox containing various tools, a skeet shooter, a 2L container of motor oil and a 4X6 foot homemade trailer.

Investigators were able to process the scene for fingerprints and obtained one friction ridge impression which was submitted to the Forensic Identification Services for evaluation.

As a result, a 20-year-old from West Grey has been arrested and charged with break-and-enter a place commit indictable offence.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on February 8 to answer to the charge.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
