Police looking to verify well-being of barefoot person walking in snow

South Bruce OPP are hoping to verify the well-being of an unknown individual who was outside walking barefoot.

On January 22 around 8:30 p.m., police were contacted regarding a person walking barefoot along Sutton Street near Broadway Street in Kincardine.

Police searched the area and found footprints of someone walking barefoot, but did not locate the individual.

Officers were given the following description of the person. A 5'5" tall female, believed to be South Asian. She had dark hair in a ponytail and was wearing an orange top, orange pants and a beige shawl over the shoulders.

Police want to verify the well-being of this person. Anyone who may have information is asked to contact South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
