Stratford Police charge local businessman with fraud

A Stratford business owner turned himself into police Wednesday to face several charges of fraud.

Stratford Police say they began investigating Kevin Larson in February 2023, after several individuals raised concerns regarding their investments with him.

Larson is the former owner of the Hub chain of restaurants, as well as commercial, financial, and development businesses.

Police charged Larson with five counts of fraud over $5,000, nine counts of uttering a forged document, and one count of false pretence.

He was released on an undertaking with a court appearance scheduled for March.

Larson had also been charged with one count of fraud in April 2023.

Police ask that any community members who had issues with Larson contact their non-emergency line at 519-271-4141.
