House fire deemed non-suspicious

A house fire that broke out in the early morning hours has been deemed non-suspicious.

On January 29 at 1:06 a.m., the Chatsworth Fire Department advised the Grey Bruce OPP that they were responding to a structure fire at a duplex on Crawford Street in Chatsworth.

Everyone who was in the home had gotten out prior to crews arriving. No one was injured. The Chatsworth Fire Department has deemed the fire to be non-suspicious in nature.

The Intertownship Fire Department along with Grey County Emergency Services attended the scene to assist.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
