UPDATE: Highway 6 reopens following collision in Georgian Bluffs

A single vehicle collided with a hydro pole Wednesday afternoon near Shallow Lake, resulting in the closure of Hwy 6.

Emergency services responded to the call around 2:30 p.m. on February 28. No injuries were reported.

According to Grey Bruce OPP, Hwy 6 is closed between Sideroad 15 and 10 due to a transport truck being laid across the road, not a hydro pole as police originally shared.

As of 8 a.m. on February 29, the road has reopened.

A 44-year-old from Montreal is facing careless driving charges.
