Police investigate robbery at Collingwood restaurant

Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP are looking for a man accused of robbing a Collingwood restaurant at knifepoint on the night of March 7.

That night around 8:30 p.m., police responded to a robbery at Kitcho Sushi on First Street in the Town of Collingwood.

A server said that a man entered the restaurant wearing a ski mask. He then brandished a knife and demanded that the cash register be opened.

The server was able to secure herself safely in a backroom and call police. The suspect took the cash register and left in an unknown direction.

The man is described as white with a skinny build, approximately six feet tall and believed to be 35 to 40 years of age. He was wearing dark coloured pants and a dark jacket at the time.
