Stratford police seek Subaru seen speeding 100km/h over limit

Stratford police are asking for the public's help locating a vehicle that officers observed travelling over 100km/h above the speed limit on Tuesday.

Officers say they observed a white Subaru sedan travelling eastbound along Perth Line 20, doing 125 km/h in an 80 zone around 4:30 p.m.

When they attempted to pull the car over, the driver increased their speed to 187 km/h.

Police say due to the risk to the public, they did not pursue the car as it continued toward St. Pauls.

The Subaru is described as white sedan with a black hood and hood scoop. It did not have a licence plate attached so police say the identity of the driver and vehicle's owner are unknown at this time.

Anyone with information on the owner of the vehicle pictured above is asked to contact Cst. Thomas Lecomte at tlecomte@stratfordpolice.com.
