High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

<p>Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were asking drivers to avoid the area of Perth Road 121 and Line 67 while they investigate a serious crash.</p><p>Just before 9 a.m. on Sunday, emergency crews including ORNGE Air responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision near the Township of Perth East.</p><p>According to police, one person was airlifted to hospital and two others were transported by ambulance. As of noon, all injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.</p><p>Police closed Road 121 between Line 61 and Perth Line 72 (Millbank) and Line 67 from Road 124 to Road 116 while officers investigate.</p><p>The road was reopened just before 2:30 p.m.</p><p>Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).</p><div data-twitter-post><iframe src="https://twitframe.com/show?url=https://twitter.com/OPP_WR/status/1769378394427277705" width="600" height="700"></iframe></div>
