Crash sends one person to trauma centre in ORNGE Air

A crash in North Perth caused one person to be airlifted to a trauma centre.

On April 8 just after 9 a.m., Perth County OPP responded alongside North Perth Fire Services, Perth County Paramedic Services, and ORNGE Air Ambulance to a single-vehicle collision on Perth Road 147, in the area of Perth Line 72 near Atwood.

The crash involved a commercial motor vehicle, and the driver had to be airlifted to a trauma centre by the ORNGE Air pilot.

For protection of emergency responders and to facilitate the investigation and roadway cleanup, a portion of the roadway was closed temporarily but has since been opened.

Anyone who may have witnessed this crash or has any information is asked to contact Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
